THOMAS ROTH is a freelance director and writer since 1995. He gave up his music career at an early stage for directing music videos, TV-reports, Live Broadcasting Shows and finally for writing and directing fictional movies.
He has won multiple awards, including the prestigious Erich Neuberg Prize, 2 Golden Romy’s and a Golden Ticket for “Falco, quit living on dreams” which still is one of the most successful Austrian theatrical movies released over the last 20 years.
Thomas Roth is the screenwriter and director behind the multiple award-winning TV series “Trautmann” as well as for series and films for major German Broadcasters ARD and ZDF like “Tatort”, “Der Kommissar und das Meer”, “Kommissar Dupin” and “Der Kriminalist”. Most episodes directed by Thomas achieved the highest ratings of the entire series regularly reaching up to or more than 7 million viewers in Germany.
